CULTURAL EVENTS
RELIGIOUS ANNIVERSARIES
On 11 March it is the celebration of Saint Theodora, protector of the town. During this great religious feast, the circumambulation of the picture and the relic of the Saint takes place. The circumambulation is accompanied by a parade in which all the schools of Arta, the army, the cultural associations etc participate.   

VARIOUS CULTURAL EVENTS

• INFINITE LAND - CELEBRATIONS FOR THE LIBERATION OF ARTA: During the last 10 days of June one can experience the climax of the events about the anniversary of liberation of Arta. various intellectual and cultural events are realised, the conservatoire of city perform shows  in the "kastraki" and also various other music, theatrical etc shows are performed. 
• TRADE FAIR:  On 27 September and for one week a big Trade Fair is taking place in Arta , a tradition that is maintained for many years, from the age of Ottoman domination. The event is realised in a specifically created exhibition space. The opening ceremony is realised in a festive way, with inauguration ceremony by the Despot, with fireworks etc
